This Privacy Policy applies to aarthiq Videsh, the cross-border wealth services offered by JMD Aarthiq Private Limited and JMD Arthvistaar Private Limited (“aarthiq Videsh”, “we”, “us”). The registration details of both companies are set out in our Regulatory Disclosures. By using this website, booking a consultation or becoming a client, you accept the practices described here. We may revise this policy from time to time; the current version is always published on this page.
Collection of Information
We collect the information you give us when you book a consultation or become a client, through our booking form, client agreements, KYC and onboarding documents, and risk-profiling questionnaire. This may include:
- your name, email, phone number, country and time zone, and the topic you want to discuss;
- identity documents and KYC records, including PAN, passport, visa or overseas address proof, and records obtained through the CKYC registry with your consent;
- your residential status, and financial information such as income, assets, liabilities, bank accounts and investments in India and abroad;
- details of property you own in India, including title papers, tenancy, tax and power-of-attorney records;
- your goals, family circumstances and risk-profile responses relevant to our services; and
- records of our communications with you, including call recordings.
When you visit this website, our hosting provider may log standard technical information, such as your browser type and the pages you visit.
Regulations require us to collect and keep some of this information. If you choose not to provide it, we may be unable to serve you. We never ask for passwords, OTPs or card details.
Use of Information
We use your information only to respond to your enquiry, verify your identity, assess your risk profile, provide and document our services, coordinate the work you ask us to do with banks, platforms and your professionals, bill for our services, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including record-keeping and anti-money-laundering requirements.
Distribution of Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not disclose it except:
- where required by law, or by SEBI, AMFI, the RBI, or any other regulatory, government or judicial authority;
- to prevent, detect or investigate fraud or other unlawful activity;
- with your instruction, to the banks, investment platforms, mutual fund houses and registrars, and your CA, lawyer or specialist partners involved in the work you ask us to do;
- to service providers who support our operations, such as KYC agencies, technology, hosting and payment providers, under obligations of confidentiality; or
- with your consent.
Because our services cross borders, some of this information may be shared with institutions outside India when you ask us to act there, such as an overseas investment platform. We do so only as Indian law permits.
Confidentiality and Security
Our employees are bound by confidentiality obligations and receive periodic training on handling client information. We maintain physical, procedural and electronic safeguards, including restricted access and encrypted connections, and client data never enters an unapproved AI tool. Any employee who breaches these policies is subject to disciplinary action.
No transmission over the internet is fully secure, so please do not send documents through this website.
Commitment to Information Security
We protect your information in line with Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Access is limited to our employees, and to agents, advisers and service providers bound by confidentiality, who need it to serve you.
Client records are kept for at least five years, or longer if disputed or required by law. Subject to law, you may ask us to access, correct or erase your information, or withdraw your consent, by writing to the Compliance Officer below.
Delivery of Privacy Policy
We provide this policy to every client at the start of our relationship. Any revised version will be published on this page with a new date.
